Zu Hause benutze ich ein Elecraft K3 Tranceiver.  Sein modularer Aufbau erlaubt es den TRX je nach Bedarf zusammenzustellen.  Je nach vorlieben gibt es zahlreiche Zusatzgeräte (z.B. LP-PAN) die eine Erweiterung für relativ günstiges Geld zulassen.  Dazu gibt es zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen, die aber meistens nur in English. Hat aber auch den Vorteil seine Fremdspachenkenntnisse aufzufrischen oder zumindest nicht ganz zu verlernen :-)

Eine hervorragendes Buch zum K3 hat KE7X veröffentlicht.  Kann dieses Buch nur jedem K3 benutzer empfehlen. "The Design, Configuration and Operation manual" .

Meistens bin ich in CW auf den Bändern habe aber trotzdem auch ein Headset. Das BEYERDYNAMIC HS-400 Aviation Headset ist zwar nicht gerade billig, aber es schirmt gut Umgebungsgräuche ab  (Passiv!).   Es geht aber auch jedes Billigheadset, der K3 kann mit seinen unterschiedlichsten Einstellungen fast jede Variante bedienen.

Für UKW (144MHz) benutze ich noch meionen alten IC746.  Dort bin ich vorwiegend nur bei Kontesten aktiv.

At home I am using a ELECRAFT K3 tranceiver.  This tranceiver allows to build ham handicraft projects around.  Big flexibility in connectionn lead-out and a lot of ham stuff from the community.

I am using a BEYERDYNAMIC HS-400 Aviation Headset (picture below) which is conneted to the rear. For the K3 no modification is necessary (MENU / MIC_SEL: rP.L biAS). The only thing to adapt are connectors 6.3mm stereo jack for the earphone and 5.5mm for the microphone ( 5.5mm adapter can be bought by aviation dealers )

The Design, Configuration and Operation manual from KE7X give a good understanding and a lot of details around the K3.

In VHF, I use my old IC-746  and in UHF my old FT-100.  99% in contests.  Antenna: 2M9SSB from M2

My shortwave antenna is a Fritzel  FB-DX460.  A 3 Element 3 Band f0r 10, 15 and 20 and a rotary dipole for 12, 15 and 30.  I did a extension on that dipole. The working range is now 12, 18 and 40 meters.

I am using a longwire about 31m long for the Low-Bands

Not realy a big gun, but here in our crowded area is not enough space to building bigger systems.  I am happy so far with my possibilities.  Have some space left to erect temporary verticals.
